Day 1 in Hue city Itinerary

– Hue Citadel – located on the northern bank of Huong River, being one of Vietnam’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The complex divided into two main parts excluding houses and mansions: The Citadel and The Forbidden City. The first part used to protect the important palaces inside while the second part was where the emperor and the royal family stayed as well as the court’s workplace. Most of the majestic buildings, tombs and museums stand together to make an extreme amusing attraction in the heart of Vietnam.

– Thien Mu Pagoda – is located on Ha Khe hill, on the north bank of the Perfume River, about 5 kilometers from Hue city. It is one of the most enchanting and ancient pagoda in Hue city and has become one of the most popular tourist sites in Hue City

– Minh Mang Tomb – was strongly influenced by the French style and was built in a balance order in terms of nature and structures, with a lot of trees and plants around. It reveals many things about personality of Minh Mang emperor and characteristics during his reign.

– Khai Dinh Tomb – is considered to have the most remarkable and impressive structure under the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb is located hillside and has a combination in terms of architecture of Eastern and Western style. It has been one of the most worth-visiting Hue attractions.

– Dong Ba Market – is the oldest market in Hue city, which selling household items, handicrafts, clothing and fresh produce at affordable prices. The architecture of Dong Ba Market is not really a highlight but the atmosphere and the daily pace of the market itself.  It is an interesting place for travelers who seek cultural experience when visiting Hue ancient town.

Day 2 in Hue city Itinerary

– An Dinh Palace – is located on the riverside of An Cuu River, Hue city (now at 97 Phan Dinh Phung street, Hue city). Coming to An Dinh Palace, tourists will have a chance to explore the stunning and mostly undamaged structures in the harmony of Western a.nd Oriental architecture.

– Tu Duc Tomb – located in a narrow valley in Duong Xuan Thuong Village, about 8km from Hue City. Tu Duc Tomb is considered as one of the most attractive and picturesque and largest works of architecture in Nguyen Dynasty. It has become one of the buildings that make the charming beauty of Hue due to the unique architecture and perfect harmony with the natural landscape.

– Tu Hieu Pagoda – is located just 5km southwest of the city centre, it is one of the most ancient pagoda in Hue city. Tu Hieu pagoda possesses the picturesque scene with the pine forest, small stream and elegant architectural style. Visitors come here not only to admire the natural scenery and ancient monuments but also to remind the most important responsibility in life: love and take care of parents and family.

– Thanh Toan Bridge – Located at Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy district, Thua Thien Hue province, about 8 km away from Hue city center. It is the most ancient bridge in Vietnam with a very artistic architecture style and has extremely valuable in terms of architecture, history and culture.

– Thuan An Beach – is about 14km from Hue city center, is considered as one of the nicest beaches in the central of Vietnam.  Thuan An Beach possesses the clear soft white sand together with the salty water from the beach, attracting tourists to come and enjoy a beautiful moment here.

Day 3 in Hue city Itinerary

– Abandoned Waterpark (at Thuy Tien Lake) – located on Thien An hill, about 10 km from Hue center, and has become one of the most popular attractions in Hue city. Coming to Thuy Tien Lake, visitors can get access to the park fairly easily and explore the cracked water slides, partially full aquarium tanks and the increasing creep of nature over the pathways and structures.

– Huyen Tran Princess Temple – located at the foot of Ngu Phong mountain, An Tay village,  about 6 km from Hue city. It has become a wonderful destination for travelers all over the world. Huyen Tran Princess Temple is a beautiful spiritual site to enjoy the holy spirit and admire the beauty of nature.

– Huyen Khong Son Thuong pagoda – is a well-known pagoda in Hue and located in Huong Ho commune, Huong Tra district. The pagoda includes the main hall with a rustic architectural style, based on the architecture of Hue’s Ruong houses. – Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities – was established in 1923 and located inside Long An palace. It is one of the first museums in Vietnam and is the place where many collections of ancient Hue are on display and preserved. Besides, there is also a collection of unique and diversified Cham sculptures. Coming to Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, visitors will enjoy the masterpieces made by Hue artisans over 700 years of development in the imperial city.

– Tiger Arena & Voi Re Temple (Long Chau Temple)

Tiger Arena was built in 1830 as a battlefield between animals, especially are elephants and tigers, much to the glee of the royalty as well as to assert the unbeatable strength of battle elephants. The battlefield is in a round shape with a diameter of 44 m. The arena has 5 tiger cages and a gate for elephants to enter.

Voi Re temple locates near the Tiger Arena. The complex of Voi Re Temple is located on an area of ​​about 2,000 m2, including Tam Quan gate, Dien lake, Dong Phoi palace, Tay Pho palace, and Long Chau temple. Long Chau temple is the most important building.
